Behold the 9-and-half foot tall statue of Elvis, caught in a moment of perpetual rock on Beale Street.

You should know that the Elvis statue that currently lives in the circular grove of trees on Beale isn’t the original. The first Elvis statue stood on the street from 1980 until 1994, when it had to be removed and restored. It currently stands at a Tennessee welcome center.

I like this version, though. He’s been photographed hundreds of times, but he doesn’t seem to mind.
