Skatelife Memphis Still Needs Your Vote
Skatelife Memphis Still Needs Your Vote
I got a Facebook message from Skatelife Memphis over the weekend about the Nike Back Your Block grants. If they win, they'll be using the grant money to build a skate park at the Greenlaw Community Center in North Memphis.
The good news is that right now, Skatelife is #24 out of 600 applicants. The not-so-good news is that voting was extended until Sept. 15th. Because many Memphians have been voting daily for the past few months, Skatelife is offering to help out a little. If you give them your e-mail address, they'll gladly keep voting on your behalf.
They've also promised to delete e-mail addresses after the voting ends, so don't be afraid.
Also, if you want to wear your support for Skatelife, you can pick up one of their awesome "Skate Mud" t-shirts at Bluff City Coffee downtown. Adult shirts are $15 and kids' shirts are $10. You can also order by email.
